On 5th March the RWPGM Archibald Chalmers headed a deputation from PGLA into Lodge St. John (Kil) Kilmarnock No. 22 for the purpose of the Annual Visit. After completing the business of the evening RWM Paul Parker, conferred Honorary Membership on RW PGM Archibald Chalmers and Bro Craig Hamilton PM Lodge St. Andrew, Kilmarnock No. 126. Lodge 22 were then granted a clear minute.

On Tuesday 2nd March 2010 the RWPGM escorted the RWPGM of Lanarkshire Middle Ward, brother James L. Jack, in Lodge Thistle No.127. Brother Jack was accompanied by Past PGM Bro. George R. Kelly, Sub. PGM Bro. Bill Perry, and PGSD Bro. Alex Hamilton. The purpose of the visit was the presentation of a Powerpoint Lecture by Brother Jack on "Freemasons at Gettysburg" which was enjoyed by all. On 25th February, Lodge Stincher Valley, 1705, held their AGM. After the business had been concluded, IPM Archibald Chalmers welcomed a deputation from the PGLA headed by SPGM William Raeside for the purpose of the annual visitation. 1705 was granted a clear minute.
At the end of the meeting, a mini Burns Supper was held. Robert Little (JD) brought in the Haggis which was toasted by Archibald Chalmers (IPM). Bro John McKenzie (PM 314) proposed the Immortal Memory. Bros William Agnew (237) and SPGM William Raeside entertained the company and Robert Stewart (WJW) proposed the vote of thanks.

On Friday, 19th February, RW PGM Archibald Chalmers and SPGM Samuel Peden visited Lodge Tarbolton (Kil) St. James No. 135. RWM William Lindsay welcomed the brethern from the PGLA and after the Lodge business had been carried out, RWM William Lennox of Lodge St. David (Tarbolton) Mauchline,conferred a second degree on four condidates. This was a unique occasion as the candidates were Grandfather, two Sons and Grandson.

After the meeting, a mini Burns Supper was conducted with PM John Shirky in his usual position as MC. PM Ian Boyd (135) Toasted the Haggis and Peter McClymont proposed the Immortal Memory

On Thursday, 18th February, RW PGM Archibald Chalmers paid a visit to Lodge Prestwick 1060. After welcomming the PGM into the Lodge, RWM Archibald Patrick welcomed a deputation led by RWM Andrew Main, from Ayr St Paul into the lodge to confer a second degree.

On Wednesday 17th February the Regular Meeting of Lodge St John No.497 was opened by RWM Brother John Welsh. A Deputation from the PGL of Ayrshire, headed by newly Commissioned Substitute PGM Sam Peden, was then admitted followed by a deputation from The Grand Lodge of Scotland headed by Depute Grand Master, Brother Hugh Bryson. The RWPGM Brother Archibald Chalmers was also in attendance. To have both the DGM and a SPGM both from the same small villlage Lodge is a tremendous honour for Lodge St John and accordingly an opportunity was taken to record the event with group photographs including the guests of honour.

The RWPGM presided over the Quarterly Communication of PGL held within the Masonic Lodge in Troon on Friday 12th February 2010. The PGL was honoured with a Deputation from The Grand Lodge of Scotland headed by Depute Grand Master, Brother Hugh Bryson, accompanied by Brother William Gilmour, Assist Grand DofC, Brother Sam Peden Past President of the Board of Grand Stewards, and Brother Stuart McK. Muirhead, Grand Steward. The Depute Grand Master was present at the invitation of the PGM to assist with the Obligation and Commission of Brother Sam Peden as a Substitute PGM. The PGM presented Brothers William Raeside and William Steel, Sub PGM's, with their Honorary Grand Rank Diplomas. The rest of the business of the evening was dealt with efficiently and the Meeting closed with a retiral collection in aid of the Haiti Appeal, which realised £212.50p. A most memorable evening for all present. Lodge Troon Navigation No.86 once again being most generous with their hospitality after the Communication.
