On Tuesday 15 December, Right Worshipful Provincial Grand Master bro. Archibald Chalmers paid an impromptu visit to Lodge Royal Arch, Maybole No. 198. In the temporary absence of the right Worshipful Master, Immediate Past Master Bro. Brian Speirs welcomed the Right Worshipful Provincial Grand Master into the Lodge, and a good evening was had by all.

On 18 November RWM Bro. Steven Boylan welcomed the RWPGM Bro. Archie Chalmers into Lodge St. Peter No. 331. Thereafter RWPGM Bro. Archie gave his talk on the foundation of the World Federation of Burns Clubs.

The RWPGM led a large Deputation from PGL into Lodge St John (Kilwinning) Kilmarnock No.22 on Saturday 21 November 2009 for the purpose of Rededicating the Lodge after 275years of existence. RWM Bro Paul Parker presiding. The Lodge had received its Charter from the Mother Lodge in 1734 and it was a delight to a have a deputation from MK0 headed by RWM Bro. GT Stoddart in attendance. The Ceremonial work was ably conducted by Bro. Rev Ian W. Benzie assisted by PGL DoC Bro. Ian McBreen. At the close of the Ceremony the PGM presented PM Bro. William F. Raeside, Sub PGM, with an Hon Grand Rank jewel on behalf of his Mother Lodge in recognition of him being granted the Hon Grand Rank of Senior Deacon. The Lodge presented PGL with a cheque for £275 to mark the Anniversary.
On Sunday afternoon 15 November 2009 the Right Worshipful Provincial Grand Master, accompanied by Depute Provincial Grand Master Bro. Robert Little and Substitute Provincial Grand Masters Brother Drew CY Rankine and Brother William Raeside, attended a Service of Rededication of the Dalmellington War Memorial. The Lodge had made a considerable donation towards its refurbishment as part of their "Freemasonry in the Community". Right Worshipful Master Brother James McKinstry was present with a very large Deputation of Lodge Office-bearers and Brethren. After the Service the Lodge provided hospitality to all who cared to join them in the Lodge-room.

On Thursday 12 November 2009 the RWPGM attended the Regular Meeting of Lodge Darvel No.971. On that occasion he headed a Deputation from the PGL of Ayrshire accompanied by the RWPGM of Kilwinning, Brother David C. Bloomfield. Brother G. T. Stoddart headed a Deputation form Lodge Mother Kilwinning. The purpose of the visit was to present the Lodge with a Framed Photograph of the late Brother Thomas Armour McColl, PM 971, wearing the regalia of PGM of Ayrshire. Brother Tom was the last Brother to hold the unique position of Master of MK0 and ipso facto the PGM of Ayrshire. Although the PGM presented the Gift it was in actual fact the generous gesture of the Mother Lodge. Several Brethren spoke on behalf of the memory of Brother Tom.

On 10 November, Right Worshipful Provincial Grand Master Brother Archibald Chalmers headed a Deputation into Lodge Stivestoune Thistle and Rose No. 169. After being welcomed by Right Worshipful Master Brother George Reid and witnessing an Entered Apprentice Degree, Right Worshipful Provincial Grand Master presented a 60year diploma to Brother James (Joe) Roe.

On 7 November, RWPGM Bro. Archibald Chalmers led a Deputation of 19 PGL Brethren into Lodge Royal Blues No. 399 and was welcomed by PM William A. Waldron acting RWM. The purpose of the visit was to re-dedicate the lodge after 150years. The re-dedication was carried out by the RWPGM, PGLA Chaplain Bro. Rev Ian U. Macdonald, and PGLA DoC Bro. Ian McBreen.

On Saturday 31 October at Lodge Newbattle St. Mary No. 1063 in Newtongrange, RWM Stuart McCall of Burns St. Mary No. 505 and Bro. Jim Greig, Secretary of Burns St. Mary were made Honorary Members of 1063. The photo was taken after the meeting with the RWM Bro. Tom Stewart of 1063 in the middle.

At the regular meeting on Monday 26 October, a Deputation of ten Irish Brethren North Munster paid a visit to Lodge St. James Newton-upon-Ayr No. 125. The Deputation was headed by Bro. S. Holmes WM Lodge Ormonde No. 201 and included RW Bro. G. Aston, PPGM and RW Bro. C. Foster, PDPG Master of North Munster. The Deputation was warmly welcomed into the Lodge by RWM Bro. Chic McEwan and the assembled Brethren. Thereafter, an enjoyable FC degree was worked by WSW Bro. Jack Heathcote and his team.The Brethren then spent a pleasant hour or two in harmony down in the main hall.

On Saturday evening, 24 October 2009, the RWPGM and PG Secretary attended the Fourth Annual Boxing Show at Castlecraig Centre in Ardrossan. They were the Guests of Lodge St John RA No.320. The money raised on the evening goes to Charity. The RWPGM returned to Lodge St. John R.A. No. 320 for the annual Visitation on 26 October, where he led the PGL deputation. After being welcomed by RWM Bro. Colin Boyd and witnessing a second degree, the RWPGM granted Lodge St. John R.A. a clear minute.
On Friday 23 October 2009 the RWPGM and PG Secretary attended the Annual Convocation of the Provincial Grand Royal Arch Chapter of Ayrshire held in Dalry, the Grand Superintendent ME Comp James Hodge presiding. As usual the Deputation from PGL was warmly welcomed. At the close of the meeting Fraternal Greetings were exchanged. The PGM and PG Secretary were invited to retire with the Deputation form Supreme Grand Royal Arch Chapter of Scotland.
One of the photographs attached is of the PGM with PG Supt John Mitchell whom he recently presented with a 60 year membership Diploma of his Mother Lodge Loudoun (Kil) Newmilns No. 51.

On 20 October, RWPGM Bro. Archibald Chalmers led a Deputation into Lodge St. John (Kilwinning) Largs No. 173 for the Annual Visitation. RWM Bro. Alan Rodger welcomed the Deputation into the Lodge with a special welcome to RWPGM Bro. David Bloomfield RWPGM Kilwinning. After witnessing a first degree and an affiliation, RWPGM Bro. Archibald Chalmers granted Lodge St. John 173 a clear minute.

On 21 September, Right Worshipful Provincial Grand Master Bro. Archibald Chalmers and  Provincial Grand Secretary Bro. Robert Stewart paid a visit to Lodge Coila St. Andrew No. 1334. After welcoming the Deputation and completing the business, Right Worshipful Master Bro. James Smillie welcomed a large Deputation from Lodge Tarbolton (Kil) St James No. 135. Right Worshipful Master Bro. Duncan Fenwick and his Office Bearers conferred a Second Degree.
On 17 September 2009, Right Worshipful Provincial Grand Master Brother Archibald Chalmers headed a Deputation from the Provincial Grand Lodge into Lodge Irvine St. Andrew No. 149 for the Annual Visitation. The Deputation was received most cordially by Right Worshipful Master Brother James Dempster. After a Fellowcraft degree, the Lodge was granted a clear minute.
