On 20 November, the RWM of Lodge St. Marnock No. 109, Bro. Robert Brown, welcomed the RWPGM Bro. Robert Little into the Lodge. After the business of the Lodge was completed, a 1st degree was conferred on one candidate.

On 11 November, RWPGM Bro. Robert Little attended the Regular meeting of Lodge Thistle and Rose No. 169. This was the first meeting of the new RWM and his Office-bearers. RWM Bro. James Hill extended a warm welcome to the Deputation from PGLA and after the business was complete, a first degree was conferred.

The RWPGM represented the Province at the Annual Remembrance Service held at the Cenotaph in Kilmarnock on 9 November. The Rev David Lacy led the Service and wreaths were laid by the RWPGM Bro. Robert Little and the Right Worshipful Masters of the Kilmarnock Lodges.

RWPGM Bro. Robert Little, headed a Deputation from the Provincial Grand Lodge of Ayrshire into Lodge Beith St. John’s No. 157 on 6 November where RWM Bro. Gavin Baker extended a warm welcome. After the business was completed Bro. William Black PM was presented with his Diamond Jubilee Certificate. Bro. Black was addressed by RWM Bro. Gavin Baker, RWPGM Bro. Robert Little and IPPGM Bro. Archibald Chalmers who presented a greetings card signed by The Most Worshipful Grand Master Mason and two past Grand Masters. The last speaker to address Bro. Black was PPGM Bro. Adam Cunningham.

The Annual Communication of the PGL of Ayrshire was held within Lodge Neptune Kilwinning No.442 on Friday 31 October 2014, the RWPGM Bro. Robert Little presiding. Our invited Guests included Bro T Wilson Aitken RWPGM of the PGL of Kilwinning, Bro. Samuel Dickson PSPGM, District Grand Prior of Ayrshire (designate) and Bro. Ian Murray representing the PG Royal Arch Chapter of Ayrshire. Trophies for the Golfing, Shooting and Fishing Competitions were presented by PPGM Bro Adam Cunningham to Lodges 290, 125 and 290 respectively.

On 29 October RWPGM Bro. Robert Little visited Lodge The Bonnie Doon No.565 where RWM Bro. James Young extended a warm welcome. He and his Office-bearers conferred a FC degree on two candidates.

On 27 October DPGM Bro. William Steel headed a Deputation into Lodge St. John R.A. No.320 for the Annual Visit. RWM Bro. Brian Gibson welcomed the Deputation into the Lodge. After witnessing a 2nd Degree, DPGM Bro. William Steel granted 320 a clear minute.

At Lodge St. John (Kilwinning) No. 173 on 21 October, RWM Bro. Thomas McVey welcomed a Deputation from the Provincial Grand Lodge of Ayrshire for the annual visitation. The Deputation was headed by SPGM Bro. Stephen McConnachie who after witnessing a first degree, granted the Lodge a clear minute.
On 20 October at Lodge Coila St. Andrew, RWM Bro. Norman Pile PM welcomed a small Deputation from the Provincial Grand Lodge of Ayrshire, headed by RWPGM Bro. Robert Little. A Deputation from Lodge St. James Tarbolton (Kilwinning) No. 135 headed by RWM Bro. Samuel Duffy was welcomed and then the RWM and Office-bearers from 135 conferred a second degree.
On 17 October, SPGM Bro. Samuel Peden headed a Deputation into Lodge Tarbolton (Kil) St. James, No. 135 for the Annual Visitation, where RWM Bro. Samuel Duffy extended a warm welcome. After the WSW and his team conferred a FC degree, SPGM Bro. Samuel Peden granted 135 a clear minute. After the business of the visitation was completed, SPGM Bro. Samuel Peden presented the Rinks Bowling trophy to the 135 team, Skip Jim Scott, Hugh Goodwin, Alec Stevenson and Michael Roach. RWM Bro. Samuel Duffy then presented 3 cheques for Provincial Charity Funds.
On 16 October, RWM Bro. Gavin Bishop of Lodge Beith St. Johns No. 157, welcomed a Deputation from the Provincial Grand Lodge of Ayrshire, headed by SPGM Bro. James Bell for the purpose of the Annual Visitation. After the business and a second degree was conferred on one candidate, Depute Master Bro. Andrew Park of Lodge St. John (Kilwinning) Largs No.173, presented a sword to the Lodge after having it restored. Bro Andrew advised that information found on the sword confirmed that it had been made in France almost 200 years ago. The SPGM Bro. James Bell then conducted the Visitation and granted Lodge St. John’s Beith a clear minute.

On 14 October, SPGM Bro. Robert Stewart headed a Deputation from the Provincial Grand Lodge of Ayrshire into Lodge R.A. West Kilbride No.314 for the annual visitation. The deputation was welcomed by RWM Bro. Bruce Harvey. After the business and a second degree, SPGM Bro. Robert Stewart granted the Lodge a clear minute.

On 11 October RWM Bro. David Wallace welcomed a Deputation from Lodge Newbattle St. Mary No.1063 headed by RWM Robert Burns. RWPGM Bro. Robert Little was then welcomed into the lodge. Lodge Newbattle St. Mary then conferred a MM Degree. After the degree, RWM Bro. David Wallace conferred Honorary membership on WJW Bro. Thomas Shields.

On 9 October DPGM Bro. William Steel headed the Deputation from the Provincial Grand Lodge of Ayrshire into Lodge Prestwick No. 1060 for the annual visitation. RWM Bro. James Miller welcomed the deputation, completed the business of the Lodge and conferred a 2nd degree on 1 candidate. DPGM William Steel conducted the visitation and granted 1060 a clear minute.

 

On 7 October, RWPGM Bro. Robert Little visited Lodge St. Clement (Kilwinning) Kilmarnock No.202 where RWM Bro. Gary Mitchell extended a warm welcome. After the normal business was completed, the Office-bearers for 2014-15 were nominated and elected.

RWPGM Bro. Robert Little visited Lodge St James (Kilwinning) Tarbolton No.135 on 3 October. Depute Master Bro. Tom MacLeod was elected as Master Elect during that part of the business. Thereafter an EA was conferred on Bro. David Stewart.

On 2 October, RWM Bro. Charles Richards, of Lodge Troon Navigation No.86 welcomed a small Deputation from the Provincial Grand Lodge of Ayrshire, headed by RWPGM Bro. Robert Little, into the Lodge. A first degree was conferred after completion of the business.

On 29 September, RWPGM Bro. Robert Little and DPGM Bro. William Steel visited Lodge Boswell St. James No. 1011 where RWM Bro. Lawrence Gallacher extended a warm welcome. On completion of the business, a second degree was conferred on one candidate.

On 29 September, RWPGM Bro. Robert Little headed a small Deputation from PGLA into Lodge Wallace St. Hugh No.1212 where the Deputation was welcomed by RWM Bro. Barry Crate. After the business was complete, an EA degree was conferred on one candidate.

On 27 September, Lodge St. Marnock No.109 held a special meeting. Lodge St Michael’s Kilwinning Dumfries No.63 visited and conferred a FC Degree. Lodge St Marnock RWM Bro. Robert Brown welcomed RWM Bro. Colin Saunders and his Deputation from Lodge No.63 before welcoming a Deputation from PGLA headed by RWPGM Bro. Robert Little.

On 23 September, SPGM Bro. Stephen McConnachie headed a Deputation from PGLA into Lodge St. Clement (Kilwinning) Kilmarnock No.202 for the Annual Visitation. After being welcomed by RWM Bro. Gary Mitchell and witnessing a 3rd degree, SPGM Bro. Stephen McConnachie carried out the PGLA business and granted lodge 202 a clear minute.
On 20 September, the Provincial Grand Lodge of Ayrshire hosted a dinner to commemorate the first Provincial Grand Master, Bro. Alexander Drummond. The event was held in the Function Suite of the Kilmarnock Lodges. RWPGM Bro. Robert Little welcomed all to the dinner especially the PGMs from Sister Provinces, The Lord Lieutenant of Ayrshire John Duncan, Provost of East Ayrshire James Todd, and Guest speaker Robert Cooper, Curator of the Grand Lodge of Scotland. After an excellent meal, Bro. Robert Cooper delivered a talk on his research into the life of Alexander Drummond. John Duncan and James Todd both added their thanks for the evening and SPGM Bro. Samuel Peden gave a vote of thanks.

On 19 September, Lodge Prestwick No.1060 headed by RWM Bro. James Miller visited Lodge St James (Kilwinning) Tarbolton No.135 to confer a FC degree. RWM Bro. Samuel Duffy welcomed the Deputation and also welcomed a small Deputation from the PGLA.

On 18 September, DPGM Bro. William Steel visited Lodge Troon Navigation No.86 where RWM Bro. Charles Richards extended a warm welcome. RWM Bro. Richards also welcomed a Deputation from Lodge Ayr St. Paul No.204 headed by RWM Bro. Arthur Brown. Thereafter Lodge 204 conferred a FC Degree.

On 17 September, DPGM Bro. William Steel headed a Deputation form PGLA into Lodge St. John Catrine, No.497 for the Annual Visitation. After being welcomed by RWM Bro. Andrew Honeyman and witnessing a FC Degree, DPGM Bro. William Steel carried out the PGLA business and granted 497 a clear minute.

On 16 September, SPGM Bro. James Bell headed a Deputation form PGLA into Lodge Burns St. Mary No.505 for the Annual Visitation. After being welcomed by RWM Bro. David Wallace and witnessing an EA degree, SPGM Bro. James Bell carried out the PGLA business and granted Lodge 505 a clear minute.

On 12 September, SPGM Bro. Samuel Peden headed a Deputation form PGLA into Lodge St. Matthew Kilwinning Dreghorn No.549 for the Annual Visitation. After being welcomed by RWM Bro. Archie Milligan and witnessing a FC degree, SPGM Bro. Samuel Peden carried out the PGLA business and granted 549 a clear minute.

On 11 September, SPGM Bro. Robert Stewart headed a Deputation from the PGLA which was welcomed into Lodge St. Marnock No.109 by RWM Bro. Robert Brown. The purpose of the visit was the Annual Visitation and after witnessing a Mark Degree, Lodge St. Marnock were granted a clear minute.

SPGM Bro. James Bell headed a Deputation from the Provincial Grand Lodge of Ayrshire into Lodge Thistle and Rose No.169 on 9 September for the Annual Visitation. After the business of the Lodge and a 2 degree, SPGM Bro. James Bell conducted the official part of the visitation and then presented 2 Jubilee Certificates. A 50 year certificate was presented to Bro. Benjamin Mitchell PM. And a 60 year Diploma to Bro. George Henry on behalf of the late Bro David Smith PM.

On 8 September at Lodge St. James Newton-upon-Ayr No.125, RWM Bro. Stuart Howie welcomed a Deputation from the Provincial Grand Lodge of Ayrshire headed by RWPGM Bro. Robert Little into the Lodge. After 125 conferred a MM Degree, RWPGM Bro. Robert Little carried out the Annual Visitation and granted 125 a clear minute.
On 5 September, RWPGM Bro. Robert Little headed a Deputation into Lodge St. James Tarbolton (Kilwinning) No.135. Included in the Deputation which was welcomed into the Lodge by RWM Bro. Samuel Duffy, were RWPGM of Renfrewshire West Bro. James Livingston and DPGM Renfrewshire East Bro. Neil Fraser. Depute Master Bro. Tom MacLeod and Office-bearers conferred the first degree on Tom’s son. After the degree, RWM Bro. Samuel Duffy conferred Honorary Membership on RWPGM Bro. Robert Little, then RWPGM Bro. James Livingston presented several artifacts back to the Lodge including a Past Masters Jewel from 1941.
On Tuesday 2 September 2014 a Deputation from PGLA attended Lodge Thistle No.127 for the purpose of the Annual Visitation. This was carried out by SPGM Bro. Stephen McConnachie which resulted in the Lodge receiving a clear minute. After witnessing a FCD PG Chaplain, Bro. Rev Ian Benzie, dedicated a new Memorial Plaque erected to the memory of those Brethren of the Lodge who had given their lives for their country. Our RWPGM Bro. Robert Little was also in attendance.

ON 28 August, RWPGM Bro. Robert Little headed a Deputation into Lodge Stinchar Valley No.1705, where RWM Bro. Murray Hunter welcomed the Deputation into the Lodge. After completion of the Business, Bro. Gordon Fleming of Lodge Sir George Cathcart No. 617 delivered a talk on Bro. Blair Main.

On 25 August, RWPGM Bro. Robert Little headed a Deputation into Lodge St. John R.A.No.320 where RWM Bro. Brian Gibson welcomed the Deputation. On completion of the business SPGM Bro. Robert Stewart delivered a talk on the Presidents of the USA who were Freemasons.

On 21 August, RWPGM Bro. Robert Little headed a Deputation from the Provincial Grand Lodge of Ayrshire into Lodge Neptune Kilwinning No.442. The Deputation was enhanced by PPGM Bro. Adam Cunningham and five Brethren from the Provincial Grand Lodge of Glasgow who were welcomed into the Lodge by RWM Bro. Duncan Stanners. A Deputation from Lodge St. Andrew Denny No.176 headed by RWM Bro. Kevin McLean was then welcomed into the Lodge. A Mark degree was then conferred by Lodge St. Andrew.

On Tuesday 19 August SPGM Bro. Stephen McConnachie along with a Deputation from the PGLA attended a special meeting at Thistle and Rose No.169 where he was welcomed by RWM Bro. Robert Kerr. A demonstration of the Fellow craft Degree as conferred in Lincolnshire was then given by Industry Lodge No.4662 (EC) from Scunthorpe.

 
On 7 August, the IPPGM Bro. Archie Chalmers visited Lodge Neptune Kilwinning No.442 along with a Deputation from PGLA, where he was warmly welcomed by the RWM Bro. Duncan Stanners. A first degree was conferred on one candidate by the Installing Masters of 2013. Bro. Charles Pllu PM 442 began the degree assisted by Bro. Colin McCormick PM of Lodge St James (Kilwinning) Tarbolton No.135 and Bro. Stephen McConnachie PM of Lodge Royal Blues No.399.
On 1 August the RWPGM Bro. Robert Little attended a special meeting of Lodge St John Royal Arch No.320 along with a Deputation from PGLA. Accompanying him on this occasion was the RWPGM Bro. Alexander Thomson of PGL Lanarkshire Upper Ward. The meeting commemorated the 100th anniversary of the start of the First World War and paid tribute to the fourteen Brethren of 320 who are commemorated on the memorial plaque. PGL Chaplain Bro. Ian Benzie dedicated the wreath which now hangs on the west wall. IPPGM Bro. Archie Chalmers spoke these Brethren and the sacrifice each had made. Following this the Brethren enjoyed the hospitality of 320. An entertaining quiz was held which was enjoyed by all.

On 28 July RWM Bro. Brian Gibson welcomed a Deputation from The Provincial Grand Lodge of Ayrshire into Lodge St. John Royal Arch No.320. The Deputation was headed by RWPGM Bro. Robert Little. On completion of the business, RWM Bro. Brian Gibson welcomed a large Deputation from Lodge Troon Navigation No.86, headed by RWM Bro. Charles Richards. Lodge Troon Navigation then conferred a MM degree on one candidate.

On 17 July, RWPGM Bro. Robert Little headed a small Deputation into Lodge Neptune Kilwinning, Saltcoats No.442, where RWM Bro. Duncan Stanners welcomed the Deputation.A MM Degree was conferred on one candidate. The majority of the degree being conferred by the RWM. Following the close of the meeting the Brethren enjoyed the hospitality of Lodge Neptune Kilwinning.

On 3 July RWM Bro. Duncan Stanners of Lodge Neptune Kilwinning Saltcoats No. 442, welcomed a Deputation from the Provincial Grand Lodge of Ayrshire, headed by RWPGM Bro. Robert Little into the Lodge. On completion of the business, RWM Bro. Duncan welcomed a Deputation from Lodge Mother Kilwinning headed by RWM Iain Bro. Doole into the Lodge. The Office- bearers of Mother Kilwinning then conferred the Mark degree on two candidates.

On Friday 27 June the RWPGM Bro. Robert Little accompanied by SPGM Bro. Robert Stewart and PGSW Bro. Ian McBreen attended Lodge Thistle and Rose No 169, where RWM Bro. Robert Kerr extended a warm welcome. After the business of the evening,  an Entered Apprentice Degree was conferred on one candidate by the RWM Bro. Robert Haggart and Brethren of Lodge Irvine St. Andrew No. 149. The evening was enhanced by the attendance of four reigning Masters three of whom had travelled from Edinburgh.

The summer Communication was held within the premises of Lodge St James (Kilwinning) Tarbolton No.135 on 25 June. Over 180 Brethren attended with 24 of those visiting from the Sister Provinces. Heading the Deputation of visitors was the RWPGM of Dumfriesshire Bro. Robert Hughes. Bro. William Black PM received the penny a day trophy on behalf of Lodge Beith St Johns No.157. Bro. Brian Speirs PM received the Singles Golf Salver on behalf of Lodge Royal Arch No. 198 whilst RWM Bro. Brian Gibson received the Quaich for the penny a day.
On 23 June, RWPGM Bro. Robert Little attended Lodge St. James Newton-upon-Ayr No.125 and was welcomed by RWM Bro. Stuart Howie. After the business a FC degree was conferred on one candidate. There was a good number of visitors present.
On 17 June, IPPGM Bro. Archibald Chalmers visited Lodge St. John (Kil) Largs No. 173, where RWM Bro. Thomas McVie welcomed the Deputation from PGLA. After the business was completed, a mark ceremonial was conferred on one candidate.
Lodge Royal Blues No.399 held a Special Meeting on Friday 13 June 2014 with Bro. Alex Kelly PM presiding over an EA Degree conferred by the other two Garnock Valley Lodges, Dalry Blair No.290 headed by RWM Bro. Gordon Hughes and Beith St John’s Kilwinning No.157 headed by RWM Bro. Gavin Baker. RWPGM Bro. Robert Little was also in attendance.  An enjoyable evening was spent in harmony afterwards.

RWPGM Bro. Robert Little headed a Deputation from Provincial Grand Lodge of Ayrshire into Lodge St. Andrew No.126 on 24 May where RWM Bro. Ross Gibson extended a warm welcome to the Deputation. The purpose of the meeting was for a degree team made up of Serving and former Servicemen to confer a Mark degree on one candidate. All proceeds from the meeting and raffles to go to The Mark Wright Project.

At the Regular meeting of Lodge St. James Tarbolton (Kilwinning) No.135 on 16 May, the RWPGM accompanied by IPPGM Bro. Archie Chalmers and DPGM Bro. William Steel along with other members of PGLA saw the relics of the Lodge pertaining to it's founding period along with the Minute books from it's inception. Bro. John Shirkie PM gave a very informative and entertaining lecture on the Lodge history with particular reference to the Burns period which was very much appreciated by all present. The RWPGM expressed his thanks as did the IPPGM who congratulated Bro. John on his depth of knowledge on the subject as well as his unique style of delivering the lecture. The Brethren then retired to the lower hall for refreshments.

On 15 May, RWM Bro. Duncan Stanners welcomed a Deputation from the Provincial Grand Lodge of Ayrshire headed by RWPGM Bro. Robert Little, into Lodge Neptune Kilwinning No. 442. On completion of the business, a Deputation from Lodge Major Ness No. 948, headed by RWM Bro. Colin Stark, into the Lodge. The Office -bearers and Brethren from Lodge Major Ness then conferred a Mark Degree on one candidate.

On 13 May 2014 SPGM Bro. Stephen McConnachie visited Lodge Dalry Blair No.290 where he made a special presentation of a Jubilee Certificate to Brother Andy Wilson along with the RWM Bro. Gordon Hughes and Brethren of Lodge Dalry Blair 290.

RWPGM Bro. Robert Little headed a Deputation from PGLA into Lodge Ayr St. Paul No.204 on 14 May, where RWM Bro. Arthur Brown welcomed the Deputation. On completion of the business, RWM Bro. Arthur Brown welcomed a Deputation from Lodge Troon Navigation No.86 headed by RWM Charles Richard. Lodge Troon Navigation then conferred a third degree on one candidate. After the degree, RWPGM Bro. Robert Little presented Bro. Robert Redmond PM with his 50 year Jubilee Certificate.

RWPGM Bro. Robert Little visited Lodge Royal Arch No.314 on 13 May. he was warmly welcomed by RWM Bro. Bruce Harvey. After the business of the night was over, the RWPGM presented the Bowling Trophy to the Brethren of Lodge No.314.

On 12 May RWM Bro. Brian Gibson of Lodge St. John, Royal Arch No.320 welcomed RWPGM Bro. Robert Little into the Lodge. On completion of the business, a second degree was conferred on one candidate.

RWPGM Bro. Robert Little headed a Deputation into Lodge Troon Navigation No.86 on 8 May. The Deputation was welcomed by IPM Bro. William Donaldson. On completion of the business, a 3rd Degree was conferred by the Past Masters of the Lodge.

On 3 May Lodge St. Thomas Kilwinning No. 433 held their 150th Rededication Ceremony in Dalmellington. The Grand Lodge of Scotland carried out the rededication with Substitute Grand Master Bro. Maurice Wilson heading the Deputation. Substitute Grand Master Maurice Wilson, Grand Chaplain Rev. Bro. Canon John Lindsay and Grand Director of Ceremonies Bro. Ramsay McGhee conducted the ceremony in a dignified manner. The Provincial Grand Lodge of Ayrshire Deputation was headed by RWPGM Bro. Robert Little and was enhanced with Brethren form Sister Provinces, Dumfriesshire, Galloway and Renfrewshire East. After the rededication an excellent meal was enjoyed followed by the usual toasts and entertainment by Bletherskyte.

RWPGM Bro. Robert Little headed a Deputation into Lodge Royal Arch No.198 on 26 April. RWM Bro. Thomas James welcomed a Deputation from Lodge Springburn No.1198 and then welcomed the Deputation from the PGLA. The RWM and Brethren of 1198 then conferred a FC degree on one candidate. On completion of the degree, RWPGM Bro. Robert Little, assisted by PGLA DoC Bro. Stuart Muirhead, presented Bro. Michael Brown PM with his 50 year diploma.

On 25 April, The Provincial Grand Lodge of Ayrshire held their Quarterly Communication in Kilmarnock Masonic Halls. RWPGM Bro. Robert Little welcomed the Brethren present then welcomed a Deputation from Sister Provincial Grand Lodges. The Deputation, headed by RWPGM Bro. Alexander Thomson RWPGM of Lanarkshire Upper Ward, included RWPGM Bro. Thomas Davidson PGL Lanarkshire Middle Ward, RWPGM Bro. John McCormack PGL Dunbartonshire, RWPGM Bro. James Livingstone PGL Renfrewshire West, IPPGM Bro. David Bloomfield PGL Kilwinning and DPGM Bro. Neil Fraser PGL Renfrewshire East. On completion of the business RWPGM Bro. Robert Little conferred the rank of Honorary Provincial Grand Director of Ceremonies on Bro. Duncan Campbell PM of Lodge Girvan St. Johns No. 237. Certificates for completing the PGLA Passport were then presented to the following Bro. Peter Morrison PM Lodge Dalry Blair No.290, Bro. Gordon Reid Lodge St. James Newton-upon-Ayr No.125, Bro. Charles Calder Lodge St. Maurs No.1398 and Bro. Iain Murray Lodge Burns Dundonald No.1759. After the meeting all present enjoyed the hospitality provided by the Kilmarnock Lodges.

On 21 April, RWPGM Bro. Robert Little headed a Deputation into Lodge Coila St. Andrew No.1334 where Bro. Colin Cruickshanks PM extended a warm welcome. After the business was completed, an EA degree was conferred on one candidate.

The RWPGM Bro. Robert Little visited Lodge St. James Tarbolton (Kilwinning) No.135 on 18 April. He was accompanied by PPGM Bro. Adam Cunningham and SPGM Bro. James Bell on an unofficial visit. SPGM Bro. Jim delivered a eulogy on the life and Masonic career of Bro. William Stirling PM 1060 who joined Lodge St James in 1950. Having witnessed an EA degree the Brethren then retired to the lower hall for hospitality and harmony.

On 16 April, RWPGM Bro. Robert Little headed a Deputation from PGLA into Lodge St. Thomas Kilwinning No.433, where the Deputation was welcomed by RWM Bro. George Ferguson. On completion of the business and conferring of the EA degree, SPGM Bro. James Bell conducted the Annual PGLA Visitation to Lodge St. Thomas who were granted a clear minute. Thereafter RWPGM Bro. Robert Little presented a 70 year Jubilee Diploma to Bro. Hugh Frew Johnston.

On 10 April, RWPGM Robert Little headed a Deputation from PGLA into Lodge Dunlop Caledonia No. 1408, where the Deputation was welcomed by RWM Bro. Matthew Brown. On completion of the business, SPGM Bro. Stephen McConnachie conducted the Annual PGLA Visitation to Lodge Dunlop Caledonia who were granted a clear minute, thereafter RWPGM Bro. Robert Little presented a 50 year Jubilee Diploma to Bro. Robert Hart.

On 9 April, RWM of Lodge Ayr St. Paul No. 204, Bro. Arthur Brown, welcomed DPGM Bro. William Steel into the Lodge. After completion of the business, RWM Bro. Arthur Brown welcomed a Deputation from Lodge Georgetown No.1170 headed by RWM Bro. Alan Provan. RWM Bro. Provan and his Office-bearers then conferred a second degree on one candidate.

On 8 April, SPGM Bro. Robert Stewart headed a Deputation from the  PGLA into Lodge Thistle and Rose No.169 where RWM Bro. Robert Kerr extended a warm welcome to the Deputation. After the business was completed a second degree was conferred on one candidate. After the degree SPGM Bro. Robert presented a 50 year Jubilee Diploma to Bro. James Cairns.

On 3 April, RWPGM Bro. Robert Little headed a Deputation into Lodge Fergusson St. James No.566. After the business was completed, a MM degree was conferred on Bro. Peter J. Ogg PM No.11 HM 566. This was the 100th time that Peter had acted as candidate in Lodge Fergusson St. James. RWPGM Bro. Robert Little presented Bro. Peter with a certificate to mark the event and a thank you card from the Lodge. RWM Bro. Tom Hainey added his remarks and thanked Bro. Ogg for all his hard work.

On 2 April, RWM Bro. Stephen Clark welcomed a Deputation from the PGLA into Lodge St. John. Maybole No. 11 for the Annual Visitation. The Deputation was headed by RWPGM Bro. Robert Little. After witnessing a FC degree, Lodge No.11 were granted a clear minute.

On 1 April the RWPGM visited Lodge Burns St Mary No.505 where a FC degree was conferred by the Valley Masters, Lodge Loudoun (Kil) No.51, Lodge St Peter No.331, Lodge Burns St Mary No.505 and Lodge Darvel No.971. The RWPGM had the unique opportunity to present a 60 year Diploma to Bro. John Murdoch and a 50 year Diploma to Bro. David Rankin.

On 27 March, RWPGM Bro. Robert Little headed a Deputation into Lodge St. Marnock No. 109 where the Deputation was welcomed by RWM Bro. Robert Brown. On completion of the business, Bro. Archie Jay PM was presented with a Distinguished Service Diploma.

On 25 March, RWPGM Bro. Robert Little headed a Deputation from PGLA into Lodge Thistle and Rose No.169, where RWM Bro. Robert Kerr welcomed the Deputation. An EA degree was conferred on one candidate.

On 24 March RWPGM Bro. Robert Little and DPGM Bro. William Steel visited Lodge St. James Newton-upon-Ayr No.125. After welcoming the PGLA Deputation, RWM Bro. Stuart Howie completed the Lodge Business and then conferred the Mark Degree on 3 Candidates.

On 19 March SPGM Bro. Stephen McConnachie headed a Deputation from the PGLA into Lodge St. Johns Girvan No. 237 for the Annual Visitation. RWM Bro. William Agnew welcomed the Deputation and after the business was completed carried out an EA degree. After the degree, SPGM Bro. Stephen McConnachie carried out the business of the Visitation and granted 237 a clear minute.

On 18 March RWM Bro. Thomas James welcomed a Deputation from the PGLA into Lodge Royal Arch Maybole No.198 for the Annual Visitation. The Deputation was headed by DPGM Bro. William Steel. After witnessing a FC degree, DPGM Bro. William Steel gave Lodge 198 a clear minute.

On 17 March, Bro. Colin Cruickshanks PM welcomed RWPGM Bro. Robert Little into Lodge Coila St. Andrew No. 1334. After completion of the business, a first degree was conferred by the WSW on a substitute candidate.

On 13 March, RWPGM Bro. Robert Little headed a Deputation from PGLA into Lodge Prestwick No. 1060 where RWM Bro. James Miller extended a warm welcome. Included in the Deputation was the RWPGM Bro. John Henderson representing PGL Galloway. After the business was completed FC Degree was conferred on one candidate.

On 12 March, RWPGM Bro. Robert Little visited Lodge Ayr St. Paul No. 204. After welcoming the RWPGM, RWM Bro. Arthur Brown completed the Lodge business and then welcomed a Deputation from Lodge Prestwick No.1060 headed by RWM Bro. James Miller. Lodge Prestwick then conferred a FC Degree.

On 11 March, RWM Bro. John Law  welcomed a Deputation from the PGLA into Lodge Burns Dundonald No.1759 for the Annual Visitation. The Deputation was headed by SPGM Bro. Robert Stewart. After witnessing a FC degree, SPGM Bro. Robert Stewart gave 1759 a clear minute.

On 3 March, Bro. Colin Cruickshanks PM welcomed a Deputation from PGLA into Lodge Coila St. Andrew No.1334 for the Annual Visitation. The Deputation was headed by SPGM Bro. Samuel Peden. After witnessing a FC degree, SPGM Bro. Samuel Peden gave 1334 a clear minute.

SPGM Bro. Stephen McConnachie headed a Deputation into Lodge Stinchar Valley No.1705 for the Annual Visitation on 27 February. RWM Bro. Robert Stewart welcomed the Deputation and after the business was completed, SPGM Bro. Stephen McConnachie carried out the visitation and granted 1705 a clear minute. RWM bro. Robert Stewart wished PM Bro. Robert Little a happy 70th birthday on behalf of all present. The Brethren sang happy birthday and Bro. Robert was presented with a cake. After the meeting a mini Burns Supper was held. Bro. Archibald Chalmers PM assisted by Bro. Robert Little PM, addressed the Haggis, Bro. Liam Stewart PM 331 delivered the Immortal memory. RWM Bro. William Agnew 237 and SPGM Bro. Stephen McConnachie provided entertainment and WSW Bro. Murray Hunter RWME, proposed a vote of thanks.

The Quarterly Communication of PGLA was held on 14 February within the premises of Lodge Troon Navigation No.86. RWPGM Bro. Robert Little presided over a large turnout of Brethren several of whom were especially welcomed as visitors from Sister Provinces. A Deputation of representatives was received from the Sister Provinces which was headed by the RWPGM Bro. T Wilson Aitken of the Province of Kilwinning. During the business of the Communication, the RWPGM was delighted to confer Honorary Grand Rank on Bro. Alex Young PM Lodge Loudoun (Kil) Newmilns No.51 of Grand Senior Standard Bearer and Bro. James Muir PM Lodge Royal Arch No.198 as Honorary Grand Treasurer. RWM Bro. Adam Howie from Lodge St John No.334 presented the RWPGM with an Honorary Member diploma following this honour being recently conferred upon him. At the close of the meeting the Brethren received the hospitality of PGLA which was appreciated by all.

SPGM Bro. Samuel Peden headed a Deputation into Lodge Troon, Navigation No.86 for the Annual Visitation on 13 February. RWM Charles Richards welcomed the Deputation and after the business was completed, an EA Degree was conferred. SPGM Samuel Peden carried out the business of the visitation and granted 86 a clear minute.

On 12 February, RWM Bro. Arthur Brown welcomed a Deputation from PGLA into Lodge Ayr St Paul No.204 for the annual visitation. The Deputation was headed by SPGM Bro. James Bell. After witnessing an EA degree, SPGM Bro. James Bell gave 204 a clear minute.

DPGM Bro. William Steel headed a Deputation into Lodge St. David (Tarbolton) Mauchline No.133 for the Annual Visitation on 11 February. RWM Bro. James Barnes welcomed the Deputation and after the business was completed, a FC Degree was conferred. DPGM William Steel carried out the visitation and granted 133 a clear minute.

RWPGM Bro. Robert Little headed a Deputation into Lodge Neptune Kilwinning Saltcoats No.442, on 6 February, where a warm welcome was extended by RWM Bro. Duncan Stanners. A Deputation from Lodge Royal Arch No. 314 from West Kilbride headed by RWM Bro. Bruce Harvey was welcomed into the Lodge and conferred a FC degree. After the meeting RWM Bro. Duncan Stanners presented his wife Jan with flowers as a thanks for all her hard work.

On 5 February, SPGM Bro. James Bell headed a Deputation from PGLA into Lodge St. Peter No 331 for the Annual Visitation. RWM Bro. David Connell welcomed the Deputation and after the business was completed carried out an Affiliation followed by a FC degree. After the degree, SPGM James Bell completely the Visitation and granted 331 a clear minute.

On 4 February, RWPGM Bro. Robert Little visited Lodge Boswell St. James No.1011 Auchinleck. RWM Bro. Lawrence Gallacher extended a warm welcome and after conferring FC degree was presented with his Installed Master’s Certificate. Bro. Milton Fleming PM of Lodge St. Barnabas No 230 presented a set of tracing boards, which he had commissioned.

On 28 January, RWPGM Bro. Robert Little headed a Deputation into Lodge Thistle and Rose No. 169. RWM Bro. Robert Kerr welcomed the Deputation into the Lodge and after the business was completed, RWPGM Bro. Robert Little presented a 50 year diploma to Bro. James McLuckie. After the Lodge was closed, a mini Burns Supper was enjoyed by all.

On 25 January the RWPGM Bro. Robert Little attended the annual Burns Supper at Lodge St James Tarbolton (Kilwinning) No.135 along with PGLA Secretary Bro. Stuart McCall. Also attending was the MWGMM Bro. Charles Iain Robert Wolrige Gordon of Esslemont along with Grand Secretary Bro. David Begg, Immediate Past Depute Grand Master Bro. Hugh Bryson and Grand Treasurer Bro. James Bell. A good night was had by all with many fine readings and songs. To mark the occasion RWM Bro. Sammy Duffy presented the RWPGM with a Burns Crystal decanter and glass.

RWPGM Bro. Robert Little headed a Deputation of seven into Lodge St. James Tarbolton (kilwinning) No. 135 on 17 January, where a warm welcome was extended from RWM Bro. Samuel Duffy. On completion of the business, a Deputation from Lodge Newton Mearns No. 1706 headed by their RWM Bro. Kenneth Stein was welcomed in to the Lodge and then conferred a FC Degree on one candidate. On completion of the degree, Bro. Thomas Edgar PM 1706 was given Honorary Membership of 135.

On 15 January, RWPGM Bro. Robert Little, Bro. Angus Gorman and Bro. Stewart Cruickshank visited Lodge St. Thomas Kilwinning No. 433, where RWM Bro. George Ferguson welcomed the Deputation into the Lodge. After the business was completed, the RWM and his Office-bearers conferred a 3rd degree on one candidate.

RWPGM Bro. Robert Little visited Lodge Royal Arch West Kilbride No. 314 and was welcomed by RWM Bro. Bruce Harvey. After the business, the FC degree was conferred on 2 candidates.

On 9 January, RWPGM Bro. Robert Little, IPPGM Bro. Archibald Chalmers and bro. Stewart Cruickshank attended the meeting of Lodge Dunlop Caledonia No.1408. RWM Bro. Matthew Brown welcomed the Deputation into the Lodge. At the close of the meeting several guests were invited into the harmony for the presentation of charity cheques. On 7 January, RWPGM Bro. Robert Little headed a Deputation into Lodge Burns St. Mary No. 505 in Hurlford and a warm welcome was extended by RWM Bro. David Wallace. A Deputation from Lodge St. John No.497 was also welcomed into the lodge and lead by RWM Bro. Andrew Honeyman, conferred a FC degree on one candidate.

On 27 December, RWPGM Bro. Robert Little headed a Deputation into Lodge Darvel No. 971. The RWPGM and the Deputation were welcomed by RWM Bro. Rodney Pirrie.

On 23 December, RWPGM Bro. Robert Little and IPPGM Bro. Archibald Chalmers visited Lodge St. James Newton-upon-Ayr No. 125. A warm welcome was extended by RWM Bro. Stuart Howie and then a FC degree was witnessed .

On 19 December RWPGM Bro. Robert Little visited Lodge Fergusson St. James No.566 where he was warmly greeted by the RWM Bro. Tom Hainey. The Brethren of 566 conferred a MM degree after which the RWM wished all Brethren the compliments of the season. Amongst the many visitors was Bro. Pete Hylton of Brownsburg Lodge No. 241 Indiana, USA. Bro. Pete presented the RWM with a token from his Lodge. RWM Bro. Tom reciprocated with a Mark token, Lodge tie and glass on behalf of the Brethren of 566.

On 18 December, RWPGM Bro. Robert Little and a small Deputation visited Lodge St. John Maybole No.11, where after being welcomed by RWM Bro. William Cuthbert, witnessed a step up MM degree conferred on 2 candidates.

On 17 December, RWM Bro. Allan Conn of Lodge Royal Arch No. 198, welcomed RWPGM Bro. Robert Little into the Lodge.

After the business was completed a FC degree was conferred by the WSW and his team.

On 16 December, RWPGM Bro. Robert Little visited Lodge Coila St. Andrew No. 1334. After being welcomed into the Lodge by RWM Bro. William Andrew, Bro. George Murray PM and other Office-bearers conferred the EA degree on PM Bro. George Murray’s son Keir. After the degree, RWM Bro. William Andrew conferred Honorary Membership on Bro. Robert McCroskie PM Lodge Tarbolton (Kil) St. James No. 135.

On Thursday 5 December SPGM Bro. Stephen McConnachie paid a visit to Lodge Neptune Kilwinning No.442. This was RWM Bro. Duncan Stanners first meeting of the 2013 - 2014 session. SPGM Bro. Stephen was warmly welcomed into the Lodge by RWM Bro. Duncan Stanners prior to a Deputation from Lodge St John Royal Arch Saltcoats & Ardrossan No.320 being admitted to confer a Fellow Craft Degree.

The Deputation from Lodge 320 was headed by there own RWM Bro. Brian Gibson.

After the completion of the degree Bro. Colin McCormick PM of Lodge St James (Kilwinning) Tarbolton No.135 presented RWM Bro. Duncan Stanners with his Masters Diploma on behalf of his three Installing Masters who were all present.

On 5 December, RWPGM Bro. Robert Little and a small Deputation visited Lodge Troon Navigation No. 86. RWM Bro. William Donaldson welcomed the Deputation and after a MM degree was witnessed, RWM Bro. William Donaldson conferred Honorary membership of 86 on RWPGM Bro. Robert Little.

RWPGM Bro. Robert Little visited Lodge Burns St. Mary No. 505 on 3 December where he was welcomed by RWM Bro. David Wallace. A FC degree was conferred on one candidate by RWM Bro. John Muir and his degree team from Lodge St. John (Kilwinning) Kilmarnock No. 22.

On 26 November, RWPGM Bro. Robert Little headed a small Deputation into Lodge Thistle and Rose No. 169. RWM Bro. Robert Kerr welcomed the Deputation and after completing the business, a FC Degree was conferred on one candidate.

On 21 November, RWPGM Bro. Robert Little visited Lodge St. John’s, Beith No. 157. Also in the Deputation were two PSPGMs Bro. John Taylor and Bro. Elijah Beattie. RWM Bro. Gavin Baker welcomed the Deputation and after the business was complete, the RWM and Office-bearers conferred a Mark degree.

On 13 November, RWPGM Bro. Robert Little and IPPGM Bro. Archibald Chalmers visited Lodge Montgomerie Kilwinning No.624 where RWM Bro. William Duncan welcomed the Deputation. Bro. William McLarty Director of Music for the Provincial Grand Lodge of Renfrewshire West was also in the Deputation. After the business was completed, three brethren were affiliated to 624, a MM degree was conferred on one candidate and then the Nomination and Election of Office-bearers was completed.

On 12 November, RWPGM Bro. Robert Little visited Lodge Boswell St. James No. 1011, with SPGM Bro. Sam Peden and Bro. Stewart Cruickshank. RWM Bro. David Harvey welcomed the Provincial Deputation and after completing the business, including the AGM, conferred a Mark degree on one candidate. After the degree, RWPGM Bro. Robert Little presented a 50 year diploma to Bro. Angus Dorbie.

On 7 November, RWPGM Bro. Robert Little visited Lodge St. Marnock No. 109 where RWM Bro. Robert Brown extended a warm welcome. On completion of the business a FC degree was conferred on one candidate.

RWPGM Bro. Robert Little headed a small Deputation into Lodge St. John, Catrine No. 497 on 6 November to be welcomed by RWM Bro. Andrew Honeyman.

On 5 November, PG Secretary Bro. Stuart McCall headed a Deputation into his Mother Lodge, Burns St. Mary No.505. RWM Bro. David Wallace welcomed the Deputation which included RWPGM Bro. Robert Little.

On 4 November, RWPGM Bro. Robert Little headed a small Deputation into Lodge Coila St. Andrew No.1334 and was welcomed by RWM Bro. William Andrew. A FC degree was enjoyed by all present.

RWPGM Bro. Brother Robert Little and IPPGM Bro. Archibald Chalmers, attended the half-yearly Communication of the PG Royal Arch Chapter of Ayrshire, held within the premises of Lodge Troon Navigation No.86,  where they were warmly welcomed by the Grand Superintendent MEC Gordon Booth. During the course of the meeting the Grand Supt presented the RWPGM with his Diploma recognising his 40 years of membership of Royal Arch Freemasonry. Another enjoyable meeting of the two Orders.

RWPGM Bro. Robert Little visited Lodge Troon Navigation No.86 on 31 October where RWM Bro. William Donaldson extended a warm welcome. A first degree was conferred.

On 30 October RWPGM Bro. Robert Little visited Lodge St. Andrew Kilmarnock No.126 where RWM Bro. Andrew Hamilton extended a warm welcome. A large Deputation from Lodge Cambuslang Royal Arch No. 114, headed by RWM Bro. James Richardson, was welcomed into the Lodge after which Bro. Angus Ross PM and his team conferred a Mark degree on 5 candidates. After the meeting RWM was presented with a cake to mark the completion of 3 years as Master.

On 28 October, RWPGM Bro. Robert Little attended Lodge St. James Newton - upon - Ayr No. 125 and was welcomed by RWM Bro. Stuart Howie.

After a second degree conferred by WSW Bro. Jim Munro and his team, RWPGM Bro. Robert Little presented Bro. Mervyn Stuart PM with the PGLA Clay Pigeon Trophy.

The Autumn Communication of PGLA was held on 25 October 2013 within the Masonic Temple of Lodge Neptune Kilwinning No.442 in Saltcoats. Visiting on this occasion was the RWPGM Bro. T Wilson Aitkenof PGL Kilwinning accompanied by PPGMs Bro. John Adrain and Bro. David Bloomfield. Following the normal business, the Office-bearers were installed by DPGM Bro. William Steel and PSPGM Bro. David MacLean. The election of members to PGL Committee also took place with Bro. Derek Rutherford PM 505 being elected to serve on Committee for the first time.

RWPGM Bro. Robert Little visited Lodge Dunlop Caledonia No.1408 on 24 October where RWM Bro. Hugh Gilbert extended a warm welcome. After the Lodge business was completed Bro. Thomas Murray PM of Lodge St. Peter No.331 delivered a talk on the Barr Castle.

On 22 October, RWPGM Bro. Robert Little headed a small Deputation into Lodge St. David (Tarbolton) Mauchline No.133 where a warm welcome was extended by RWM Bro. Jack Fleming. An EA degree was conferred on one candidate.

On 18 October, RWPGM Bro. Robert Little headed a Deputation into Lodge St. James (Kil) Tarbolton No. 135 where RWM Bro. Ian Davidson welcomed the Deputation. After completing the business and conferring a FC Degree, RWPGM Bro. Robert Little carried out the Annual Visitation which was the purpose of the visit. SPGMs Bro. Sam Peden and Bro. James Bell accompanied the Deputation. Bro. Andrew Hamilton RWM Lodge St. Andrew No. 126, headed a Deputation to capture the Travelling Mallet from 135.

Accompanied by SPGM Bro. Stephen McConnachie, SPGM Bro. Sam Peden headed a Deputation from the PGLA into Lodge Beith St. John's No. 157 for their Annual Visitation. RWM Bro. Gavin Baker welcomed the Deputation and then with the assistance of Secretary Bro. Warnock Longridge completed the Lodge business before conferring a FC Degree. SPGM bro. Sam Peden conducted the visitation and granted Lodge 157 a clear minute.

SPGM Bro. Robert Stewart headed a Deputation into Lodge St. John (Kilwinning) No173 on 15 October for the Annual Visitation. RWM Bro. Alan Buntain (IPM) welcomed the Deputation and then conferred an EA Degree. SPGM Bro. Robert Stewart conducted the visitation and granted Lodge 173 a clear minute. Honorary Membership of Lodge St. John (Kilwinning) was then conferred on the IPPGM Bro. Archibald Chalmers.

On 14 October, RWPGM Bro. Robert Little visited Lodge St. John Royal Arch No.320 where he was welcomed by RWM Bro. Colin Hannah. This was a business only meeting with Bro. Steven Burns of Lodge Thistle and Rose No.169 being offered and accepting Honorary Membership of Lodge 320.

The Annual PGLA visitation to Lodge Prestwick No. 1060 took place on 10 October. RWM Bro. Drew Rankine welcomed the Deputation headed by SPGM Bro. Stephen McConnachie. After witnessing a FC degree, SPGM Bro. Stephen McConnachie then granted Lodge 1060 a clear minute.

On 9 October Bro. Bryan Love RWM Lodge Ayr St. Paul No. 204 welcomed RWPGM Bro. Robert Little and IPPGM Bro. Archibald Chalmers into the Lodge. After witnessing a Mark Degree, IPPGM Bro. Archibald Chalmers was offered and accepted Honorary membership of 204.

On 8 October, SPGM Bro. James Bell headed a Deputation into Lodge Royal Arch No. 314 in West Kilbride for the annual visitation. RWM Bro. Bruce Harvey welcomed the Deputation and on completion of the business, including a FC degree, SPGM Bro. James Bell granted 314 a clear minute.

On 28 September a dinner was held in the Kilmarnock Masonic Halls to celebrate IPPGM Bro. Archie Chalmers' service as RWPGM PGLA. The event was chaired by DPGM Bro. William Steel. Honored guests at the top table included Bro. John Henderson RWPGM PGL Galloway, Bro. David Bloomfield IPPGM PLG Kilwinning, Bro. Alistair Henderson RWPGM PGL Glasgow, Bro. John Miller RWPGM PGL Renfrewshire East, Bro. John McCormick RWPGM PGL Dunbartonshire and Bro. John Brockie PGM PGL Perthshire West. Bro Angus Middleton PM Royal Arch West Kilbride No.314 gave a very eloquent speech on the legacy of Archie's work for PGLA and how his persona touched each and every one of all he has been in contact with through our Craft. Bro. John Miller RWPGM Renfrewshire East, delivered a very humorous and touching tribute to Archie touching on the many aspects of his character and displaying the high esteem in which Archie is held. Archie replied very humbly to all the tributes paid. The evening ended with closing remarks from SPGM Bro. Robert Stewart and PPGM Bro. Adam Cunningham.

On 24 September, SPGM Bro. James Bell headed the PGLA Deputation into Lodge St. Clement Riccarton (Kilwinning) Kilmarnock No. 202 for the annual visitation. RWM Bro. Gordon Horner welcomed the Deputation and conferred a FC degree. SPGM Bro. James Bell granted a clear minute to Lodge 202.

On 18 September, SPGM Bro. Stephen McConnachie headed a Deputation into Lodge St. John, Catrine No. 497, also in the Deputation was Bro. John Brockie, RWPGM of Perthshire West. RWM Bro. John McCulloch welcomed the Deputation, completed the business of the Lodge and after a FC degree was conferred, SPGM Bro. Stephen McConnachie conducted the Annual Visitation, at the end of which the Lodge received a clear minute.

On 17 September, DPGM Bro. William Steel headed a Deputation into Lodge Burns St. Mary for the Annual PGLA visitation. DPGM Bro. William Steel welcomed Bro. Kurt Soendergaard, Past Deputy Grand Secretary of the Craft Lodges of Denmark into the Deputation. The Deputation was welcomed into the Lodge by RWM Bro. David Wallace. After the business and a FC degree was completed, the DPGM granted 505 a clear minute.

On 13 September, RWPGM Bro. Robert Little headed a Deputation into Lodge St. Matthew Kilwinning Dreghorn No. 549 for the PGLA Annual Visitation. After witnessing a FC Degree, 549 were granted a clear minute.

On 10 September SPGM Bro. Stephen McConnachie headed the PGLA Deputation into Thistle and Rose No. 169 for the Annual Visitation. After being welcomed by RWM Bro. Robert Kerr,  a Fellow Craft Degree was carried out on two candidates by PM Bro. Robert Cramb Snr and his son PM Bro. Robert Cramb Jnr, one of the candidates being the grandson and son of the conferring team. SPGM Bro. Stephen McConnachie then carried out the annual visit and granted Thistle and Rose a clear minute.

On 12 September, IPPGM Bro. Archibald Chalmers visited Lodge Prestwick No. 1060, where a warm welcome was extended by RWM Bro. Drew C.Y.Rankine. WSW Bro. James Miller assumed the chair to confer a MM degree and for the remainder of the evening. After the degree IPPGM Bro. Archibald Chalmers installed Bro. Drew Rankine with the Regalia of Past Substitute Master on behalf of Lodge 1060.

On 6 September, RWM Bro. Ian Davidson welcomed a Deputation from PGLA into Lodge St James Tarbolton (Kil) No. 135. The Deputation was headed by RWPGM Bro. Robert Little. A 1st degree was conferred on one candidate.

On 4 September, RWPGM Bro. Robert Little visited Lodge St. Peter No. 331 where RWM Bro. Hugh Good extended a warm welcome. RWPGM Bro. Robert Little presented Bro. Thomas Stewart with a 50 year Jubilee certificate, then RWM Bro. Hugh Good on behalf of the Lodge presented the RWPGM with a Harmony Jewel. The Office-bearers then carried out a FC Degree.

On 29 August, RPGM Bro. Robert Little headed a Deputation into Lodge Stinchar Valley No.1705. The Deputation was welcomed by RWM Bro. Robert Stewart. On completion of the business, bro. John McKenzie PM Lodge Royal Arch, West Kilbride No. 314 delivered his talk on “My First Time”.

On 26 August, RWPGM Bro. Robert Little headed a Deputation into Lodge St. John R.A. No.320 where RWM Bro. Colin Hannah welcomed the Deputation into the lodge. Also in the Deputation was RWPGM of Renfrewshire East, Bro. John S. Miller.

On 20 August RWPGM Robert Little headed a Deputation into Lodge Thistle and Rose No.169 where RWM Bro. Robert Kerr welcomed the Deputation. Also in the Deputation were SPGM Bro. William Fleming and PGJD Bro. George Bell of PGL Renfrewshire East. Bro. Stephen Foster SD 169 gave a talk on Freemasonry and IPPGM Bro. Archibald Chalmers gave his talk on the Copycats of Freemasonry.

On 15 August, RWPGM Bro. Robert Little headed a Deputation from PGLA into Lodge Neptune Kilwinning No. 442. Also in the Deputation was Bro. Andrew Campbell Provincial Grand Secretary for PGL Kilwinning. RWM Bro. Keith Syme welcomed the Deputation and then conferred a 1st degree.

On 9 August RWPGM Bro. Robert Little headed a Deputation into Lodge St. John Royal Arch No.320 where RWM Bro. Colin Hannah welcomed the Deputation. RWM Bro. Colin Hannah then welcomed a Deputation from Lodge Troon Navigation No.86 headed by RWM Bro. William Donaldson. A MM degree was then conferred by the Brethren from 86.

On 2 August, RWPGM Bro. Robert Little headed a Deputation from PGLA into Lodge Dalry Blair No.290. Also in the Deputation were RWPGM Bro. John Brockie from PGL Perthshire West, and Bro. Tom McCrone DOC PGL Lanarkshire Middle Ward. IPM Bro. Edward Dunlop welcomed the Deputation into the Lodge and then welcomed a Deputation from Lodge Toryglen No.1561, headed by RWM Bro. Douglas Thomson. Lodge 1561 then conferred a second degree.

On 22 July RWPGM Bro. Robert Little attended Lodge St. John Royal Arch No.320 and witnessed an EA degree. Included in the PGLA deputation were IPPGM Bro. Archibald Chalmers, PPGM Bro. Adam Cunningham, Bro. Tom McCrone DOC PGL Lanarkshire Middle Ward and Bro. George Bell JD PGL Renfrewshire East.

On 19 July, RWPGM Bro. Robert Little, IPPGM Bro. Archibald Chalmers, SPGM Bro. Robert Stewart and several PGLA Office-bearers, attended a special meeting of St. John Royal Arch No.320 where the Deputation was welcomed by RWM Bro. Colin Hannah. RWM Bro. Colin Hannah then welcomed a Deputation from Lodge St. Andrew No.149 headed by RWM Bro. Robert Haggart. A 3rd degree was then conferred by the RWM and Brethren of 149.

On 4 July, RWPGM Brother Robert Little and a Deputation from the Provincial Grand Lodge of Ayrshire visited Lodge Neptune Kilwinning No. 442. RWM Brother Keith Syme welcomed the Deputation . All present witnessed a 2 nd Degree.

On Friday 28 June RWPGM Bro. Robert Little and some of his Office-bearers visited Lodge Thistle and Rose No.169 in Stevenston where they were welcomed by RWM Bro. Robert Kerr. RWM Bro. Kerr then welcome a Deputation from Lodge Irvine St. Andrew No. 149 headed by IPM Bro. Ian Gunion who conferred a 1st degree on one candidate.

The Summer Quarterly Communication of the Provincial Grand Lodge of Ayrshire was held on 26 June within the premises and Temple of Lodge St John No.173 in Largs. RWPGM Bro. Robert Little welcomed all to the meeting especially those in the Deputation from the Sister Provinces, headed by Bro. T. Wilson Aitken, RWPGM of the Provincial Grand Lodge of Kilwinning. A Deputation from the Grand Lodge of Scotland , headed by RW IPDGM Bro. Hugh Bryson, was also welcomed into the Province. After the business was concluded, RWIPDGM Bro. Hugh Bryson obligated and presented Bro. Rev. Iain U. Macdonald with his 9th Commission as a Provincial Grand Chaplain. Bros. James and Bro. Robbie Millar were presented with certificates for completing the Ayrshire Visitors Passport. RWM Lodge St Peter No.331 Bro.Hugh Good, was presented with the Quaich for the best collection for the Penny a Day whilst Bro. Ian Dick PM Lodge Beith St John's No.157 was presented with the Pettigrew Trophy. This award is given annually to the Lodge who raises the most money in sponsorship of the Masters' Walk. Incredibly this is the tenth year in a row that that Lodge St John's have been awarded with this trophy.

On 21 June, RWPGM Bro. Robert Little and some of his Office-bearers visited Lodge St. John Royal Arch No.320, where they were welcomed by Bro. RWM Colin Hannah. RWM Bro. Colin Hannah then welcomed a Deputation from Lodge Dalry Blair No.290 headed by IPM Bro. Edward Dunlop. Bro. Dunlop and his Office-bearers then conferred  the 3rd degree on one candidate.
On Tuesday 18 June 2013 IPPGM Brother Archibald Chalmers, accompanied by two PGL Office-bearers, attended the Regular Meeting of Lodge St John (Kil) No.173 where he witnessed a Mark Degree conferred on 2 candidates, RWM Brother James White presiding.  Brother Gordon Alexander PM Lodge Langside No.955, delivered the historical lecture doing so in place of the late Brother Alan J. Galt. This gesture was much appreciated by all present.
On Tuesday 11 June, RWPGM Bro. Robert Little attended Lodge Thistle and Rose No. 169, where he was welcomed by RWM Bro. Robert Kerr. That evening Bro, Jack Paterson received his MMM degree. Accompanying the RWPGM that evening was the PGLJD of Renfrewshire East, Bro. George Bell.

On 12 June, RWPGM Bro. Robert Little headed a Provincial Deputation into Lodge Royal Blues No.399 where a warm welcome was extended by RWM Bro. George Henderson. On completion of the business, IPPGM Bro. Archibald Chalmers delivered his talk on the Copycats of Freemasonry.

On 4 June RWPGM Bro. Robert Little headed a Deputation into Lodge St. John (Kil) Largs No.173, where he and the Deputation were welcomed by RWM Bro. James White. After completion of the business IPPGM Bro. Archibald Chalmers delivered his talk on the Copycats of Freemasonry.

RWM Bro. John Struthers of Lodge St. John, No.334 welcomed IPPGM Bro. Archibald Chalmers into the Lodge on 30 May. After the business was completed, IPPGM Archibald Chalmers delivered his talk on The Founders of the Burns Federation. (below left)

On 29 May, RWPGM Bro. Robert Little headed a small Deputation into Lodge St. Thomas Muirkirk, No. 201and were welcomed by IPM Bro. Gordon McCulloch. After completion of the business, IPM Bro. Gordon McCulloch welcomed a Deputation from The Glasgow Star Lodge No. 219 headed by RWM Bro. Keith Hodgson, thereafter Lodge 219 conferred a second degree.

On 27 May, RWPGM Bro. Robert Little visited Lodge St. James Neton upon Ayr No.125 and witnessed a Mark Degree. RWM Bro. Stewart Howie welcomed RWPGM Bro. Robert Little into the Lodge.

RWPGM Bro. Robert Little headed a Deputation into Lodge St. David (Tarbolton) No.133 on 28 May where RWM Bro. Jack Fleming welcomed the Deputation into the Lodge. After the business was completed, IPPGM Bro. Archibald Chalmers delivered his talk on Sir Alexander Fleming.

On 16 May, RWPGM Bro. Robert Little headed a Deputation from PGLA into Lodge Irvine St. Andrew No.149, where IPM Bro. Ian Gunnion welcomed the Deputation. The Office-bearers of the Lodge conferred a third degree on Bro. Stephen McNish. After the degree RWPGM Bro. Robert Little presented Bro. James Dempster PM with the salver for the Land O’ Burns Golf competition.

RWPGM Bro. Robert Little and a Deputation from PGLA visited Lodge St. Thomas Kilwinning No.433 on 15 May. After being welcomed by RWM Bro. Colin Bunyan, a 3 degree was conferred on Bro. Barry Whelan.
On 13 May, RWM Bro. Stewart Howie of Lodge St. James Newton-upon-Ayr No.125 welcomed a small Deputation from PGLA into the Lodge. The Deputation was headed by SPGM Bro. James Bell. Bro. Chris Muir stood in as substitute candidate for a 3rd degree and was then presented with his MM Certificate and MMM Certificate by SPGM Bro. James Bell.
IPPGM Bro. Archibald Chalmers visited Lodge Dalry Blair No.290 on 10 May, and was warmly welcomed by RWM Bro. James Hodge. RWM Bro. James Hodge then welcomed a Deputation from Lodge St. John Royal Arch No.320 who then conferred a 3rd Degree.
RWPGM Bro. Robert and a Deputation from PGLA visited Lodge St. John (Kilwinning) Kilmarnock No.22 on 3 May. The Deputation was warmly welcomed by RWM Bro. John Muir and after a Deputation from Lodge Union No.332 had been received, Lodge Union conferred a 2nd degree. After the degree, RWPGM Bro. Robert Little and IPPGM Bro. Archibald Chalmers presented PSPGM Bro. William Raeside with his PSPGM Regalia from the Lodge
RWPGM Bro. Robert Little was invited to present a Queens Badge to Kyle Campbell of 1st Stevenson Company the Boys Brigade. Captain Maggie Boyce welcomed RWPGM Bro. Robert Little into the Temple at Ardrossan for the presentation.
On 2 May, Lodge Troon Navigation No.86 held a Memorial Service in memory if Bro. George Milliken PM. RWPGM Bro. Robert Little headed a good Deputation into the Lodge where they were welcomed by RWM Bro. William Donaldson. PGLA Chaplain Bro. Rev Ian Benzie led the service while Bro. Derek Welch PM and Bro. Gavin Campbell PM added to the eulogy. A third degree was conferred by the Lodge Past Masters, with Bro. John Coats PM in the chair. After the degree, Bro. John Connolly received a 60 year Jubilee certificate from RWPGM Bro. Robert Little.
On 1 May RWPGM Bro. Robert Little with a good Deputation attended a special meeting of Lodge St. Andrew No.126 in Kilmarnock.  RWM Bro. Andrew Hamilton welcomed the Deputation and then welcomed a Deputation from Lodge Buchanan No.1499 headed by RWM Bro. William Graham. Lodge Buchanan then conferred an Entered Apprentice Degree on one candidate. The RWPGM then presented a 50year Jubilee Certificate to Bro Jack McCaw of Lodge 126 who is also a member of Lodge St Peter No.331.
The Spring Communication 2013 was held in the premises of the Kilmarnock Lodges on 26 April 2013. Heading the Deputations from Sister Provincial Grand Lodges was Brother John R McCormack RWPGM of the Province of Dunbartonshire. The business of the evening was swiftly dealt with and concluded by 8.50pm. After this the Brethren retired to enjoy the hospitality of the Kilmarnock Lodges.
The Annual PGLA Masters Dinner was held on 26 April at the Masonic Social Club in Kilmarnock. RWPGM Brother Robert Little welcomed the Brethren and their partners to the dinner. PGLA Chaplain Brother Ian Benzies said grace and after the dinner the Lord Lieutenant of Ayrshire, John Duncan QPM explained some of his duties and his attendance at the latest Royal Wedding. DPGM Brother William Steel gave the vote of thanks, and Mrs Tina Steel presented Mrs Duncan with a bouquet of flowers.
On 23 April, RWPGM Brother Robert Little visited Lodge Loudoun (Kilwinning) Newmilns No.51 where he was welcomed by RWM Brother Mitchell Martin. After the business the Lodge held a quiz.
On 22 April, SPGM Brother James Bell visited Lodge St. James Newton-upon-Ayr No. 125, where after being welcomed by RWM Brother Stuart Howie witnessed a 2nd degree conferred by Lodge Ayr St. Paul No. 204.
The annual PGLA Visitation to Lodge Dunlop Caledonia No.1408 took place on 11 April with depute Provincial Grand Master Brother William Steel heading the Deputation. Right Worshipful Master Brother Hugh Gilbert welcomed the Deputation, completed the business then 1408 were granted a clear minute.
On 9 April 2013, Right Worshipful Provincial Grand Master Brother Robert Little, Provincial Grand Lodge Marshall Brother Stewart Cruickshank and Member of Committee Brother Liam Stewart visited Lodge Royal Arch No.314 in West Kilbride. After being welcomed by Immediate Past Master Brother Martin McGinn, Brother John McKenzie PM conferred a second degree.
On 8 April 2013, RWM Brother Stuart Howie welcomed Right Worshipful Provincial Grand Master Brother Robert Little into Lodge St. James Newton-upon-Ayr No. 125 where an Entered Apprentice Degree was witnessed and enjoyed by all.
The RWPGM Bro. Robert Little, supported by IPPGM Bro. Archibald Chalmers and SPGMs Bro. Jim Bell, Bro. Sam Peden and Bro. Robert Stewart visited Lodge St James (Kilwinning) Tarbolton No.135 on 5 April 2013 along with a large Deputation from PGLA. After witnessing a first degree, the RWPGM assisted by IPPGM Bro. Chalmers, presented 50 year diplomas to Bro. Jack Taylor and Bro. Ronnie Graham. They both then presented a jewel to Bro. Duncan Fenwick PM to mark his Honorary Grand Rank in the Grand Lodge of Scotland.
On 25 March the Annual PGLA visitation to Lodge Wallace St. Hugh No.1212 was carried out.  RWM Bro. Barry Crate welcomed the Deputation headed by SPGM Bro. James Bell. After witnessing a second degree, Lodge 1212 was granted a clear minute.
On 21 March, SPGM Bro. James Bell headed the PGLA Deputation to Lodge Troon Navigation for the Annual Visitation. After being welcomed by RWM Bro. William Donaldson, SPGM Bro. James Bell carried out the annual visit and granted Lodge Troon Navigation a clear minute. After the completion of the business by No.86, RWM Bro. William Donaldson welcomed a Deputation from Lodge Burns Dundonald No.1759 headed by RWM Bro. John Law. A Mark Degree was then carried out on one Candidate by the RWM and Brethren of 1759. On completion of the degree, RWM Bro. William Donaldson conferred Honorary membership of Lodge 86 to Bro. Brian Calhoun.

On 20 March RWPGM Bro. Robert Little headed a Deputation into Lodge St. John No.497 in Catrine, to witness a second degree carried out by the RWM’s from the Lodges within the former National Coal Board Area 5. RWM of 497, John Bro. McCulloch welcomed the Deputation from the PGLA. After the degree, RWPGM Bro. Robert Little presented a 50 Year Jubilee Certificate to Bro. John McDougall.
On 14 March, Lodge St. Peter No.331 visited Lodge Prestwick No. 1060 to confer a third degree on one candidate. RWM Bro. Drew Rankine welcomed the Deputation headed by RWM Bro. Hugh Good. After the degree, Bro. Robert Little PM retired from the Lodge to re-enter as  RWPGM when he presented Bro. John Trousdale PM with his 50 year Jubilee Certificate.
On 13 March, RWPGM Bro. Robert Little, accompanied by Bro. George Reid, visited Lodge Ayr St. Paul No.204. After being welcomed by RWM Bro. Bryan Love, witnessed a second degree on one candidate.
On 12 March, a Deputation from the PGLA visited Lodge Burns Dundonald No.1759 for their Annual Visitation. IPM Bro. James Picken welcomed the Deputation headed by SPGM Bro. Stephen McConnachie. After witnessing a first degree, the Lodge was granted a clear minute.
RWPGM Bro. Robert Little and SPGM Bro. Robert Stewart attended their Mother Lodge St. Peter No.331 in Galston on 6 March 2013 in their new PGLA positions. RWM Bro. Hugh Good and the Brethren of 331 gave their two Brethren a warm welcome.
On 4 March 2013, SPGM Bro. James Bell headed a Deputation from the PGLA into Lodge Coila St. Andrew No. 1334 for their Annual Visitation. After being welcomed by Bro. Norman Pile PM and witnessing a FC Degree, SPGM Bro. James granted 1334 a clear minute.
SPGM Bro. Samuel Peden headed the PGLA Deputation into Lodge Stinchar Valley No. 1705 on 28 February 2013. RWM Bro. Robert Stewart welcomed the Deputation, completed the business and then the Lodge received a clear minute from SPGM Samuel Peden. After the meeting a mini Burns Supper was held. Bro. Archibald Chalmers PM addressed the Haggis which was carried in by Bro. Robert Little PM. SPGM Bro. Samuel Peden proposed the Immortal Memory, and Bro. Archibald Chalmers PM gave two readings. After the raffle WSW Bro. Murray Hunter gave a vote of thanks. The proceedings were conducted by RWM Bro. Robert Stewart.
On 26 February 2013, RWPGM Bro. Robert Little headed a small Deputation into Lodge Thistle and Rose No. 169. The Deputation was welcomed by RWM Bro. Robert Kerr and then witnessed an EA degree on one candidate.
RWPGM Bro. Robert Little visited Lodge Wallace St. Hugh No. 1212 on 25 February 2013, where he was welcomed by RWM Bro. Barry Crate. One candidate was initiated into Freemasonry.
On Thursday 21 February 2013 RWPGM Bro. Robert Little accompanied by DPGM Bro. William Steel paid an unofficial visit to Lodge Neptune Kilwinning Saltcoats No 442.After the Lodge had completed a scheduled business meeting the Brethren retired to the social club where Lodge St James (Kilwinning) Tarbolton No 135 hosted a mini Burns supper.The duties as toastmaster for the evening were carried out by PM Bro Duncan Stanners who very capably introduced the speakers to the assembled Brethren. PM Bro Andy MacFarlane in his usual manner celebrated the life of the Bard in song, Bro Cochrane Gourlay recited a few of the Bard’s poetic works to the assembled Brethren, PM Bro John Shirkie in his usual witty manner gave toast to the lassies and the principal speaker for the evening being PM Bro Colin McCormick who proposed the Immortal Memory. The evening was completed by the assembled brethren singing “The Star O’ Rabbie Burns”, Auld Lang Syne and the National Anthem. A vote of thanks was proposed by both RWM Bro. Keith Syme & RWPGM Bro. Robert Little.
On 20 February 2013, SPGM Bro. Stephen McConnachie headed the PGLA Deputation into Lodge St. Andrew No.126 for their annual visitation. RWM Bro. Andrew Hamilton welcomed the Deputation into the Lodge, completed the business, conferred a 1st Degree and then received a clear minute form SPGM Bro. Stephen McConnachie, who was supported by his father for his first visitation as SPGM.
On 18 February 2013, Right Worshipful Provincial Grand Master Brother Robert Little visited Lodge Coila St. Andrew No.1334 where he was welcomed into the Lodge by Brother Norman Pile PM.
On Friday 15 February 2013 RWPGM Bro. Robert Little and Bro. Duncan Stanners PGP of Stewards paid a visit to Lodge St James (Kilwinning) Tarbolton No 135. RWM Bro. Ian Davidson welcomed RWPGM Bro. Little & Bro. Stanners into the Lodge where they received a very warm welcome from the Brethren and visitors. RWM Bro. Ian Davidson then welcomed a large Deputation from Lodge Coila St Andrew No. 1334 headed by their own RWM Bro. William Andrew who had come along at the request of the RWM to confer a MMM degree on one candidate Bro. David Glass. After the degree RWPGM Bro. Robert Little addressed the Brethren and thanked the RWM for the sincere welcome that he and Bro. Stanners had received on entering the Lodge. RWPGM Bro. Little also thanked the Brethren of Coila St Andrew No.1334 for the excellent manner in which they conferred the degree and congratulated Bro. Glass in obtaining his MMM degree. RWPGM Bro. Little and Bro. Stanners then retired from the Lodge accompanied by a round of applause from the Brethren and visitors.
On 14 February, Bro James Bell attended Lodge Prestwick No.1060 for the first time in his capacity of SPGM. RWM Bro. Drew Rankine welcomed the new SPGM into his Mother Lodge and then completed the business. Bro. Robert McLaughlan PM then headed a team to confer the third degree on two candidates. Bro. Archibald Chalmers PM Lodge Thistle No.127 assisted with the degree.
On 13 February 2013, DPGM Bro. William Steel headed a Deputation into Lodge Ayr St. Paul No.204 for the annual visitation. RWM Bro. Bryan Love welcomed the Deputation, completed the business and handed the mallet to the WJW Bro. Allan Brown to confer a second degree on his son Alex. On completion of the degree, the DPGM carried out the business of the visitation and granted Ayr St. Paul a clear minute.
On 12 February 2013, RWPGM Bro. Robert Little headed the Deputation from PGLA into Lodge St. David (Tarbolton) Mauchline No.133 for the annual visitation. RWM Bro. Jack Fleming welcomed the Deputation into the Lodge and after witnessing a second degree, RWPGM Bro. Robert Little granted 133 a clear minute.
RWPGM Bro. Robert Little chaired his first Quarterly communication of PGLA within the premises of Lodge Troon Navigation No.86 on 8 February 2013. After welcoming the visitors the RWPGM carried out the normal business of the Communication. The presentation of the IPPGM with his jewel was made by the RWPGM. He also made presentations to PSPGM Bro. William Raeside, PSPGM Bro. Drew Rankine, PPG Secy Bro. Robert Stewart and PPSGW Bro. Duncan Fenwick. Bro. Donald Eckersley PM Lodge Dunlop Caledonia No.1408 and Bro. James Fulton PM Lodge St Maurs No. 1398 were also honored with Honorary Grand Rank of Standard-Bearer and presented with their jewels. Following the close of the Communication the Brethren enjoyed hospitality in the form of a magnificent buffet.
