INSTALLATIONS 2009-2010

The Annual Installation of Lodge Loudoun (Kil) No 51 was held on 8 May 2010 in Newmilns. Right Worshipful Master Brother Stefan Bain was installed by Brother Archibald Chalmers RWPGM PM Lodge Thistle No. 127 and Brother William Steel SPGM PM Lodge Loudoun (Kil) No 51. Depute Provincial Grand Master Brother Robert Little headed the Deputation from the Provincial Grand Lodge of Ayrshire.

IPM Bro.Mark Laughland welcomed the visitors and PGLA Deputation headed by DPGM Robert Little into Lodge Irvine Newtown No. 1662, for the Annual Installation on 17 April. Bro Thomas Nugent was installed as RWM for the second time by Installing Masters Bro. Robert Mc Bride, Bro. James Murphy and Bro. Stephen McDermid all PM’s of 1662.

The Annual Installation of Burns Dundonald 1759 was held on 26th March. RWM Tom McGuffie welcomed a large number of reigning masters and a large Deputation from the PGLA headed by SPGM Drew Rankine, the deputation included the PGM Archibald Chalmers and Bro Duncan Bannatyne (SPGM Argyle and the Isles). Installing Masters Ian Harvey PM 1759, Archie Jay PM 109, and Haldane Richmond PM 1759 Installed RWM James Picken and his Office Bearers.

On 13th March, RWM Stuart McCall welcomed visitors from various provinces, from inside and outside of Scotland. The PGLA deputation was headed by SPGM William Raeside, with the RWPGM also in the deputation. The purpose of the meeting was to Install Bro Derek John Smith as the new RWM and his Office Bearers. After the Installation, a meal and harmony was enjoyed by the brethren.

On Saturday, 6 March, Lodge Stinchar Valley No. 1705 celebrated their Annual Installation. There was a large attendance and all visitors were welcomed by IPM Archibald Chalmers (AKA PGM). The PGLA deputation was headed by SPGM Samuel Peden with SPGM William Raeside also in the deputation. Bros Robert McBride PM 1662, James Murphy PM 1662 and William Lindsay PM 149 installed Bro Angus Gorman into the chair as RWM and the remainder of the Office Bearers into their various offices. The meal and harmony were held in the Queens Hotel.

		The Annual Installation of Lodge St John Kilwinning Kilmarnock No.22 took place on Saturday 20th February 2010, Brother Paul Parker being installed for his second year. Installing Masters were Bro. On 13th February 2010 SPGM Sam Peden headed the PGLA deputation, for the first time, into Lodge Royal Arch No. 198 for their annual installation. Bro. Thomas Russell was installed as RWM for the third time.

On Saturday 6th February, RWM Frank Hill was installed for his second year by Gordon Hill PM 549, William Haggarty PM 149 and David McQueen PM 549. A large deputation from PGLA attended the installation with DPGM Robert Little being the official head of the deputation. Also in the deputation was RW PGM Archibald Chalmers.

On Saturday 16th January 2010 the RWPGM assisted with the Installation of Brother Robert E. H. Laird as RWM of Lodge Girvan St John's No.237 for his second year. The other Installing Masters were Brother Andrew McAlpine PM lodge St Bryde No.579, Uddingston, and Brother Kevin Gibson, PM No.237. There was a large Deputation from PGL, headed by Sub PGM Brother William Raeside in attendance. Also present was the RWPGM of Lanarkshire Middle Ward, Brother James L. Jack. The Annual Installation of Lodge St. John, No.334, was held on Saturday 16th January 2010. Right Worshipful Master Bro. Martin Merivale was Installed by Bro. William Steel lPM 51, Bro. John Hillhouse PM 51, and Bro. Gavin Kerr PM 51. Depute Provincial Grand Master Bro. Drew Rankin headed the Deputation from the Provincial Grand Lodge of Ayrshire

The Annual Installation of Lodge Fergusson St. James, No.566, was held on Saturday 9th January 2010. Right Worshipful Master Bro. Colin Brotherton was Installed by Bro. Andrew McCartney PM 566, RWPGM Archibald Chalmers, Bro. John Stuart PM 566, and Bro. Thomas Wason PM 566. Depute Provincial Grand Master Bro. Robert Little headed the Deputation from the Provincial Grand Lodge of Ayrshire with Substitute PGM William Steel speaking on behalf of PGLA. Also in attendance was RWPGM of Kilwinning Bro. David Bloomfield with a deputation from the PGL of Kilwinning.

The Annual Installation of Lodge St.John, Maybole No 11, was held on 8th January 2010. Right Worshipful Master Bro. William Cuthbert was Installed by Bro. David Anderson and Bro. Hugh Mundell, both Past Masters of No. 11. Depute Provincial Grand Master Bro. Robert Little headed the Deputation from the Provincial Grand Lodge of Ayrshire with the RWPGM in attendance.

The Annual Installation of Lodge Prestwick No 1060 was held on 19 December 2009. Right Worshipful Master Bro. Archibald M Patrick was Installed by Bro. John Williamson, Bro. John Swiatek and Bro. Drew Rankine, all Past Masters of No. 1060. Substitute Provincial Grand Master Bro. William Steel headed the Deputation from the Provincial Grand Lodge of Ayrshire with the RWPGM in attendance.

The Annual Installation of Lodge Thistle No 127 was held on 18 December 2009. Right Worshipful Master Bro. Derek M Fulton was Installed by Bro. Archie Mitchell PM 127 and Bro. Steven Mack PM 1759.Substitute Provincial Grand Master Bro. Drew CY Rankine headed the Deputation from the Provincial Grand Lodge of Ayrshire.

The Annual Installation of Lodge Troon Navigation No 86 was held on 12 December 2009. Right Worshipful Master Bro. Thomas McBride Fergusson was Installed by his son Bro. David Fergusson PM 86, Bro. Stuart Lancaster PM 86 and Bro. Derek Rutherford PM 505 HM 86. Depute Provincial Grand Master Bro. Robert Little headed the Deputation from the Provincial Grand Lodge of Ayrshire.

The Annual Installation of Lodge St. James Newton upon Ayr No. 125 was held on 12 December 2009. Right Worshipful Master Bro. Jack Heathcote was Installed by Past Masters Bro. Mervyn Stuart, Bro Christopher Robertson, and Bro. Daniel Dunlop, all Past Masters of 125. Substitute Provincial Grand Master Bro. The Annual Installation of Lodge St James (Kilwinning) Tarbolton No 135 was held on 5 December 2009. Right Worshipful Master Bro. William Lindsay was Installed by Past Masters Bro. Charles McAusland, Bro. Gavin Barrie and Bro. Jim Hunter, all Past Masters of Lodge Tarbolton. Substitute Provincial Grand Master Bro. .The Annual Installation of Lodge Boswell St James No 1011 was held on 28 November 2009 in Auchinleck. Right Worshipful Master Brother John M Thomson was installed by Past Masters Brother William Devlin, Daniel Hannah and Colin Johnstone all Past Masters of 1011. Substitute Provincial Grand Master Brother William Steel headed the Deputation from the Provincial Grand Lodge of Ayrshire.

The Annual Installation of Lodge Royal Blues No 399 was held on Friday 27 November 2009 in Kilbirnie. Right Worshipful Master Bro David McMurdo was Installed by Past Masters Bro Stephen McConnachie and Bro George Henderson both Past Masters of Lodge Royal Blues. Substitute Provincial Grand Master Bro. Drew CY Rankine headed the Deputation from the Provincial Grand Lodge of Ayrshire.

The Annual Installation of Lodge St Peter No 331 was held on 27 November 2009 in Galston. Right Worshipful Master Brother Steven Boylan was installed by Past Masters Brother Thomas Barclay, Thomas Smith and Robert Little, all Past Masters of 331. Substitute Provincial Grand Master Brother William Steel headed the Deputation from the Provincial Grand Lodge of Ayrshire.

The Annual Installation of Lodge Coila St Andrew No 1334 was held on 21 November 2009. Right Worshipful Master Brother Colin Cruickshanks was installed by Past Masters Brother David Queen, William Fulton and Ian Clark, all Past Masters of 1334. Substitute Provincial Grand Master Brother Drew CY Rankine headed the Deputation from the Provincial Grand Lodge of Ayrshire.

The Annual Installation of Lodge St. Clement Riccarton (Kilwinning) Kilmarnock 202 was held on 20 November 2009 within the Temple at London Road. RWM Bro. Ian Steel was installed By PMs Bro, Ian Steel PM Loudoun (Kilwinning) No. 51, Bro. Douglas Lindsay PM 202 and Bro. John Oliver PM 202. SPGM Bro. Drew CY Rankine headed the Deputation from PGL.

Ayr St. Paul No. 204 held their Annual Installation on 14 November 2009. RWM Bro. S Andrew Main was installed in to the Chair by Bro. Mervyn Stuart PM 125 HM 204, Bro. James Hainey PM 125, HNM 204, Bro. Robert Pettigrew PM 204 and Bro. Thomas Main PM 204. SPGM Bro. Drew CY Rankine headed the Deputation while Bro. Duncan Fenwick PG WJW, spoke on behalf of GLS and PGLA at the Installation Dinner.

On Friday 6 November 2009 Brother John Stirrat PM was Installed as RWM of Lodge Beith St John's Kilwinning No.157 by RWPGM Bro. Archibald Chalmers HM 157 and Bro. Kevin T. Baker PM 157. The retiring Master being Brother William Black who was thanked for his services to the Lodge during his term in office. After the Ceremonial the Brethren enjoyed and excellent meal followed by the usual Toasts and Replies. The Deputation from PGL was headed by SPGM Brother Drew C. Y. Rankine.

The Annual Installation of Lodge St. Marnock No.109 was held on Friday 6 November. DPGM Bro. Robert Little led the Deputation from PGLA to see the Installation of RWM Bro. Iain GC Johnston and his Office-bearers. Installing Masters were Bros. Robert Gilmour and Donald McCallum both PMs of 109.

		Brother John Welsh was installed as Right Worshipful Master of Lodge St John Catrine No. 497 on 31 October 2009. The Installation ceremonial was carried out by Past Masters Samuel Peden and Douglas Fowler of Lodge St John and Past Master john Anderson of lodge St David (Tarbolton) Mauchline No. 133. Substitute Provincial Grand Master Brother Drew Rankine headed a large Deputation from Provincial Grand Lodge. The Brethren retired to the Lodge premises for the Harmony Dinner where many fine toasts were given.

Saturday 24 October 2009 the Right Worshipful Provincial Grand Master Brother Archibald Chalmers attended the Annual Installation of Lodge St Thomas Muirkirk No.201. The new Right Worshipful Master being Brother Gordon McCulloch (PM). During the meeting the Right Worshipful Provincial Grand Master presented Past Master Brother John Bone with a Distinguished Service Diploma on behalf of his Mother Lodge. The Deputation from Provincial Grand Lodge was added to by the presence of Right Worshipful Provincial Grand Master Brother Tom Miller of Lanarkshire Upper Ward.
